Hometown Poems Book Release Party

Hometown Poems reading night & release party was held Friday,
June 23 at the Christian Care Center. Doors opened to the public at
5pm with shopping with local crafters: Flowers by Sandra Tritt, Folk Art by
Dawn Mitchell, Jewelry by Stephanie N Toby, and Stained Glass by Sherry
Shafer. The reading began at 6pm with 15 individual poets shared their words
with a great audience. Special awards were given to those artists in attendance.
Proceeds from the book benefit future programming through the Appalachian
Society of the Arts! It was an evening of community fellowship
and celebration!
