In western Turkey’s Izmir Bird Paradise National Park, thousands of flamingo chicks, known as flamingets, have recently hatched. The flamingets are born a smoky gray color, and stay on land for several weeks before beginning to stomp into the water, which is the place where they will afterward spend most of their time.
