Former Scott County resident Paula Blankenship is now a successful entrepreneur and is presently the Creative Director of Heirloom Traditions Paint based in Louisville, Ky.
Paula has designed leather stage wear for many well known country music artists as well as residential and commercial interior design projects; she has always had a gift for using color in her interior design projects all over the country and abroad. Paula has owned and operated retail home furnishing stores for well over 25 years; most recently, over the last 8 years of her design career, she has worked in NYC on several large scale commercial projects.
Paula spoke to Jason Jeffers' Entrepreneur class at Scott High School last Friday. Ms. Blankenship also presented all the S.H.S. Visual Arts students (Art 1 & 2) with a "Paint like Pablo" paint kit from her business: Paula donated these paint kits in addition to being a guest instructor to the Scott High Art Classes. Ms. Blankenship will also be donating paint from Heirloom Traditions Paint to all the elementary schools of the Scott County School District.
